Privacy

We collect as little as possible. There are no analytics, no advertising and no trackers. The true-or-false game runs in your browser.

Your free account

To play the game you sign in with your email address. We email you a one-time sign-in link, so there's no password. For your account we store your email address, when you signed up, and your game totals: claims played, right answers, best streak and which claims you've already seen. We need this to provide the account (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

When you're signed in, the site sets one cookie, wtbt_session. It is strictly necessary to keep you signed in, lasts 30 days, and isn't used for anything else. That's why there's no cookie banner.

The weekly email (optional)

If you tick the box, we also send you one food myth a week. This is separate from your account and is never pre-ticked. We record when you agreed, and only start after you've confirmed your address through the sign-in link (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can unsubscribe in one click in any email, or on your account page.

Who processes your data

Accounts are stored with Cloudflare (hosting and database). Emails are sent through Resend. Both act on our behalf under data processing agreements. We never sell or share your data with anyone else.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time on your account page. This erases your email address, your scores and your newsletter subscription. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by replying to any of our emails.

Hosting

Like every web host, Cloudflare handles technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and keep them secure.

Links to other sites

Links to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook take you to those services, and their own privacy policies apply there.
